We are pleased to announce that at the meeting held on [meeting date], Aneta Weryńska was elected [Deputy Chairperson of the Programme Board – title to be confirmed] of the Association of Employers of Audit Firms and Audit Market (ZPFA).

In her new role, Ms Weryńska will be responsible for overseeing the training activities organised by the Association. The first initiatives are a training course on the Quality Management System and a series of meetings called “Themed Evenings”, which we describe in separate posts.

We congratulate her and wish her every success in her new duties.

ZPFA is preparing a training course on the Quality Management System (QMS), to be led by Ireneusz Kurczyna, Chairman of the ZPFA Programme Board.

Training programme:

1. Management responsibility for quality, corporate governance and leadership, and the risk assessment process – 3 teaching hours; price: [45 + currency]
2. Ethics – relevant ethical requirements as part of the QMS and the Code of Ethics – 4 teaching hours; price: [55 + currency]
3. Acceptance and continuance of engagements and performance of engagements – regulatory requirements – 3 teaching hours; price: [45 + currency]
4. Management of IT and human resources and their impact on the quality management system – 3 teaching hours; price: [45 + currency]
5. Communication as a key element of management in connection with other policies, including whistleblower procedures – 3 teaching hours; price: [45 + currency]
6. The monitoring and remediation process and the evaluation of the quality management system as one of the most important elements of quality improvement – 4 teaching hours; price: [55 + currency]

In total, the programme comprises 20 teaching hours: 4 hours of ethics and 16 hours of QMS.

Minimum participation:

• for employees – 8 hours,
• for management board members – 12 hours.

The training will take place provided that at least 40 participants register. Once the required number of registrations is reached, we will set the date and inform participants.

The Association of Employers of Audit Firms and Audit Market (ZPFA) is launching a series of meetings called “Themed Evenings” (“Wieczorki tematyczne”). Each meeting lasts about one hour and is an open discussion on current issues relevant to audit firms and statutory auditors. Each meeting is led by the person who proposed the topic.

On 24-25 September 2026, a closed workshop titled “Safe AI in the Work of a Statutory Auditor” was held in Kraków for representatives of audit firms that are members of the Association of Employers of Audit Firms (ZPFA). The workshop was attended by 17 statutory auditors and led by Grzegorz Hankus of ConsultAI.

The workshop stood out for its hands-on format. Participants worked on their own laptops in three tools at the same time: Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Claude. Each task was completed in all three environments, so every firm could practise the solutions in the tool it uses day to day.

The programme adapted to participants’ needs as it went. Questions raised on the first day about skills led to the second day being redesigned. Participants uploaded ready-made skills and built their own from scratch.

The most frequently recurring topic was the order in which to implement AI in an audit firm. The model developed during the workshop has four stages:

• organised knowledge and good prompts – used daily for the first month,
• assistant – instructions and knowledge in one place, for repetitive work,
• skill – a documented procedure that the tool runs on its own,
• agent – a multi-step task with control points, implemented last.

The workshop ended with the presentation of certificates. We thank the trainer and all participants for their commitment and two days of very practical work.

Between 10–12 October 2025, the Association of Employers of Audit Firms (ZPFA) held its annual members’ meeting at the picturesque Villa Verde SPA Hotel in Zawiercie. The event brought together representatives of auditing firms from across Poland.

This year’s meeting focused on practicality – discussions and workshops were aimed at finding effective, real-world solutions that support audit firm management. It was also a valuable opportunity for exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation within the profession.

The session was led by Monika Wołczyńska and Ireneusz Kurczyna.
Expert presentations were delivered by:

• Konrad Młynkiewicz and Agnieszka Jędrzejewska from MJW Legal
• Adam Wojak from Virtline Sp. z o.o.
• Renata Zielińska, the Proxy for the Rights of Statutory Auditors

Key discussion topics included:

• quality management in auditing firms,
• cybersecurity and digital transformation in auditing,
• practical aspects of legal supervision and compliance,
• proposed amendments to the Act on Statutory Auditors,
• ZPFA’s strategic directions for the months ahead.

We sincerely thank all participants for their engagement, openness, and inspiring exchange of knowledge.

The meeting once again confirmed how valuable collaboration and shared commitment are to advancing the audit profession.

On 9–10 July 2025 the ZPFA general assembly of members took place. The meeting concluded with approval of the financial statements and a review of the association’s activities for the first half of the year. Members discussed progress on the Internal Quality Control System (IQCS) standardisation project, and actions taken to raise the quality of audit services.

Plans for the second half of the year were also presented, including continued cooperation with technology and legal partners and the organisation of training sessions and workshops for members. The meeting confirmed ZPFA’s commitment to representing its members’ interests, promoting innovation and building the highest standards of auditing services (zpfa.pl).

The Association of Employers of Audit Firms acted as a supporting partner of the “Audit for Safe Business Development” conference, held on 9 June 2025 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange by the Auditors JZP Platform – an initiative of audit firms operating in the public-interest entity sector within Pracodawcy RP.

The hybrid-format event focused on the key challenges and changes needed to ensure safe business development by improving audit quality. The programme featured debates between representatives of audit firms and oversight bodies, case studies and simulations of audit scenarios (pibr.org.pl).

Participants discussed, among other topics, the necessary amendments to the act on statutory auditors and cooperation between audit firms and audit committees (pibr.org.pl). The conference was streamed on YouTube; remote participation provided five hours of self-education credit (pibr.org.pl).

ZPFA was represented by Monika Wołczyńska and Ireneusz Kurczyna, who actively took part in the panels, emphasising the importance of audit quality and professionalisation. The event demonstrated the synergy between two associations representing the audit market and the need for joint action toward a better regulatory environment.

At the beginning of December 2024 ZPFA members met in Rzeszów to summarise the progress made so far on standardising the Internal Quality Control System (IQCS). During the meeting, working teams presented the results of their work on developing uniform procedures to ensure high audit quality.

During the event the association established strategic cooperation with Virtline Sp. z o.o. – a provider of cybersecurity and IT outsourcing services. Virtline emphasises that thanks to their services companies can focus on business growth, knowing that their data and IT infrastructure are protected by cybersecurity leaders  (virtline.com).

ZPFA also started working with the law firm MJW Młynkiewicz Jędrzejewska to provide members with legal support on audit regulation matters.

In August 2024 a workshop for ZPFA founders was held in Łódź city. The meeting was an opportunity for the founders to get to know each other better and to develop a common vision for the association’s activities.

Discussions focused on the planned standardisation of the Internal Quality Control System and on sharing experiences in building audit firms in line with the highest quality standards. The workshop reflects the statutory objectives of ZPFA—representing members’ interests before public authorities, ensuring the highest quality of services and providing a platform for exchanging experience (zpfa.pl).
